We haven't been riding much. Actually not at all since October 26 (hunter pace day).
And I was going to get back in the saddle this week (today actually), but on Sunday I got to the barn and River was lame and his right hind fetlock/pastern was hot and a little swollen. Sooo we have been icing (because I think it's too cold to cold hose, probably I'm a wimp but oh well) and not riding!
It's getting a little bit better every day, which is great of course. Last night the lameness was so small as to be almost nothing at the walk, and swelling is down a lot. But it's going to be a bit longer.
So I don't anticipate much more exciting blog content for a while. Just riding out the winter. Kudos to everyone who's using this time to actually try and improve! :)
